The Ukrainian Mission IV.

The Pentamerous team of Caritas of the Archdiocese of Olomouc has completed  its mission in Ukraine. The mission ended with  a football match and playing with boys from the children's home in Bortnik, a visit to a farm in Kolomyja, and the  opening ceremony of the local Caritas's quarters. Finally, there was  a meeting with Archbishop and Ivano-Frankivsk's Metropolitan.

The Ukrainian Mission III.

Members of the Caritas Czech Republic continue with the Ukrainian mission in Olomouc. An article is available about the visit to Lopatyn, where Olesya Župnik and her mother help people in need. ACHO also one of the donors to the foundation “Children in Need” which provides children with meals, clothes and school equipment.

Caritas Kyiv’s “Child Friendly Space” helps internally displaced children integrate

“Child Friendly Space” - a development and leisure centre for children - has been operating in Kyiv for almost a year. It aims to provide psychological and social support and care to internally displaced (IDP) children from areas of military conflict in the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine. Read more on caritas.org.

A shipment of thermal underwear, sheets and linens is on its way towards Ukraine

Yesterday, Archdiocesan Caritas Olomouc sent the next shipment of humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Thermal underwear is headed to the needy ones who were affected by armed conflict in the east of the country and the bed sheets and linens are going to the war veterans. They are recovering in a psycho-neurological hospital in Ternopil.

Charity workers from Ukraine arrived in ACHO for inspiration

Improving care for disabled children and young people seeking possibilities for social entrepreneurship or collaborating with Ukrainian charities are the paths that lead to the improvement of the plight in Ukraine. Caritas Olomouc (ACHO) passed on its experience to Ukrainian partners Caritas Kolomiya this week.
